Proposal of the UCMSR
The Maritime Silk Road was established over two millennia ago. Connecting the East and the West, it provided new opportunities for friendly exchange between countries and began a new chapter in human history. Now, in this era of globalization, where there is a trend of cooperative development and integration in global higher education, we propose the establishment of the University Consortium of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road (UCMSR).
Through“building and sharing an educational cooperation platform" and "promoting regional opening up and development”, UCMSR aims to establish a platform for international cooperation and exchange in higher education among Belt & Road countries. UCMSR will facilitate exchange and cooperation amongst universities in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research and social service.
